Karmaveer Kakasaheb Wagh Education Society is a leading educational trust in Nashik District. It was established in 1970 by the visionary leader Late Padmashree Karmaveer Kakasaheb Wagh. He realized the importance of education for upliftment of rural masses and started with a school in Niphad Tahasil. The education society later on received a land of 23 acres from the well-known Philanthropist Late Kakuseth Udesi of Hirabai Hansaraj Surji Charitable Trust, Nashik and was utilized by K. K. Wagh Education Society to establish an ideal Technical Campus. This campus is named as 'Hirabai Haridas Vidyanagari' in the name of his mother "Smt. Hirabai Haridas". This picturesque campus houses the Engineering College and two Polytechnics, out of which one is exclusively for women. Later on the other educational institutes in the field of Agriculture, Education, Nursing, Fine Arts, and Performing Arts were started in the campus at Sararaswatinagar, Nashik. English Medium Schools & Jr. Colleges are also run by the trust in Nashik City & Niphad Taluka.
With the vision of empowering the youth through quality education, K.K. Wagh Education Society started colleges with faculties like Arts, Science, Commerce, Computer Science etc. at Nashik, Bhausahebnagar, Kakasahebnagar and Chandori. These colleges are useful for the children of farmers who were deprived of higher education due to non availability of colleges in their native place. In rural area Polytechnic is established in Chandori village to provide technical education for rural students.
The objective of K. K. Wagh Education Society is to provide quality education at affordable cost. Quality culture has been developed in all the institutes. All institutes have the State-of-the-Art laboratories with latest equipments, computers and internet connectivity. Other facilities provided to the students include gymnasium and sport facilities, hostels for boys and girls, mess and canteen, transportation facility etc. Highly motivated and qualified faculty engaged in teaching, research, consultancy, training, testing and designing is a major strength of all the institutes.
A small sapling planted by Karmaveer Kakasaheb Wagh has grown into a full tree with 29 institutes having over 16,440 students engaged in studies from K.G. to Ph.D. in various fields. There are over 1,570 dedicated employees following the Indian ethics and striving hard towards developing the World Class institutes.

It Was His Firm Belief That Unless The Rural Population Understands Importance Of Education And Co-Operation, It Cannot Be Developed In Real Sense Of The Term. He Conceived The Idea Of Establishment Of A K.K.Wagh Education Society Was Founded By Devram Sayaji Alias Kakasaheb Wagh, A Visionary With Social Awareness Who Knew Importance Of Education And Co-Operation. It Was His Firm Belief That Unless The Rural Population Understands Importance Of Education And Co-Operation, It Cannot Be Developed In Real Sense Of The Term. He Conceived The Idea Of Establishment Of A Co-Operation Sugar Factory In Niphad Taluka Of Nasik District, Educated The People For The Leading Co-Operative Sugar Factories Not Only In Maharashtra But Also In The Country. The Lands Of The Taluka That Were Once Barren Are Now Lush Green Farms, Although Average Rainfall Of The Area Is Just 10-12 Inches. This Transformation Could Be Achieved Due To Application Of Modern Techniques Of Farming. Kakasaheb Worked Selflessly With Dedication For The Cause Of Economic Up-Lift Of The Rural Population. He Always Professed For Long Term Approach To The Problems And Planning Working Strategies Accordingly.
He Was Also Instrumental In Sowing The Seeds Of The Nasik District Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj, A Pioneering And Leading Educational Organization Of The District. The People Of The Area Aptly Gave Him The Title "Karmaveer". The Government Of India Acknowledged His Contribution For Social Up-Lift By Awarding Him The Title "Padmashree ". His Birth Centenary Is Being Celebrated In The Year 1998-99.

The Philanthropist Late. Shri. Kakusheth Udeshi of Hirabai Hansraj Charitable Trust, Mumbai generously donated a land of 23 Acres at Amrut Dham, Panchavati, Nashik. This campus is known as 'Hirabai Haridas Vidyanagari.
