The Honorable Supreme Court of India has described ragging as:
"Ragging is any disorderly conduct, whether by words spoken or written, or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness any student, indulging in rowdy or indisciplined activitieswhich cause or are likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in a fresher or a junior student and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shameor embarrassment so as to adversely affect the psyche of a fresher or a junior student."
Ragging in the college campus is absolutely banned and any student found indulging in the activity will bear serious consequences, such as rustication from the institute.
Various measures have been taken up by the institute to make it a ragging free campus.
Anti ragging committee headed by the Principal has been set up
Anti ragging Squad has been set up that conducts spot checks in the college campus, hostels and buses
Various banners and posters are put up in the college premises, transport and hostels to bring awareness to the students on the ill-effects of ragging and its consequences
An undertaking is taken from both parents and students at the time of admission that they are aware about the institutions approach to ragging and the punishment that will be meted in case found guilty

Banned from the mess/hostel
Her scholarship can be withdrawn
Debarred from examinations/Withholding results
Debarring from participating in any Co-curricular activities
